About Me
Hi, I'm Marissa. I'm passionate about helping others on their own healing journey through life's challenges. As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in working with young adults ages 21-30 struggling with anxiety and depression. I offer concrete feedback and evidence based skills grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you feel empowered through major life transitions and obstacles.

I understand and appreciate the unique stressors that young adults face such as relationship and family issues, starting a career, social anxiety, or balancing work with personal responsibilities. Early adulthood can feel overwhelming at times and I offer a safe space to talk about it.

Individual Therapy
I offer one on one individual therapy sessions in person and virtually. Virtual therapy is available through a HIPAA compliant video platform. Specializing in treatment for anxiety and depression with young adults ages 21-30
Anxiety
Anxiety can look like overthinking situations, worrying about the past, or anticipating the future. We all experience anxious thoughts, but sometimes anxiety can manifest in uncomfortable physical symptoms and become so overbearing that it interferes with daily life activities. High levels of anxiety may interfere with your social life, school performance, work, sports, and overall enjoyment in life. I offer evidence based strategies to help you change your relationship with anxiety so you can be more present during activities that you enjoy.

Depression
Depression can occur for many reasons based on an individual's current circumstances and background. You may be struggling with depression if most days you feel sad, hopeless, and no longer enjoy activities you once enjoyed. We can work together to identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be contributing to depressive symptoms. During therapy, you can learn how to replace behaviors that are keeping you in a depressed mood with alternative healthy behaviors, such as personal hygiene, exercising, going for walks, or asking for help.
